Make plans to join us on Thursday, November 8, for our “Make It, Bake It, Fake It” Auction!
This is always a fun night, one that has become a FATAAP tradition. Each attendee brings an item that would make a nice small gift — either something you crafted (”Make It!”), cooked (”Bake It!”) or bought (”Fake It”). The catch is that the item is always completely wrapped, often in a creatively deceptive package, so no one can tell what’s inside.
Then, we will bid small cash amounts against each other in a live auction to purchase the item, sight unseen. Finally everyone opens their “win” to see what new treasure they’ll be taking home. It’s an entertaining way to see how creative your fellow alumnae can be, and to raise a little money for the FATAAP scholarship fund.
Bring cash or your checkbook, and your wrapped contribution to the auction. Use your imagination to disguise your item while wrapping it… but thanks to our parliamentarian Kim, the trick of using a wine bottle canister to hold anything but wine has already been busted! You’ll have to think outside the box (or bag, or basket).
The Evite has just gone out for this event, so if you did not receive it, please email Tracy at vp@fataap.org.
